“Comb Her Hair” – Blue Ivy Petition on Change.org

If you haven’t seen it, this is the picture that is causing some to have strong reactions to Blur Ivy’s hair.

Now. As I’ve said before, I don’t see the issue with her natural hair. I don’t see and issue with it being out and free and whatnot.

This picture, in my opinion, is a bit more than being free though. It seems matted and tangled. And I think we can all agree that that’s just not healthy for ANYBODY’S hair.  We can also agree that this is not our child, so…there’s that.

Let’s discuss Jasmine Toliver, of Brooklyn, New York.  This is a case of “I’ve got too much time on my hands.”  This is a case of, “I’m wanting some attention.”  It’s also a case of OUT. OF. LINE.  This woman has started a petition on Change.org entitled “Comb Her Hair,” the “her” being Blue Ivy.

It reads:

As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.

If you’re going to have the nerve and audacity to do something like this, can you AT THE VERY LEAST show some type of minimal grammatical skill?  The fragments, lack of possessive tense…I simply cannot.

Let’s also talk about this first sentence. “As a woman who understands the importance of hair care.”

Here are some pictures of Ms. Jasmine Toliver.

And y’all KNOW Twitter is coming for her, and her lack of edges and overabundance of forehead, right?  So much so that she has basically locked up her Facebook account.

See, Ma’am, this is what happens when you, a grown azz woman, do the most in regard to a 2 year old’s head.  A 2 year old that you will NEVER get close to.  A CHILD.  A child that is not yours.

I bet you she thought she was going to get hand claps and applause for this trash.  I bet you she thought she was gonna be on tv, talk shows, and alladat.  Not without getting completely destroyed first, sis.
