Porsha Williams Reveals Physical Abuse In Marriage

Porsha Williams spoke with Access Hollywood today about her new single and revealed physical abuse within her marriage to Kordell Steward. When I saw this the ONLY thing that came to my mind was the fact that I am not surprised.  Like, at all.

Abuse. Physical abuse.  Yeah. There were several different occasions that this happened. When you’re in an abusive situation, it kind of just builds, and it starts to get worse and worse. And people ask me, ‘why didn’t you tell anybody or call the police?’ or what have you. I just thought that I could make it better. I honestly thought after each situation that I would change this or I would change that, and therefore the outcome wouldn’t be the same. It doesn’t work like that.

I’m still realizing now that a lot of what happened, it wasn’t my fault.

Unfortunately, Porsha’s response is one that is very common for women in domestic violence situations

When we were going through the divorce process, we had to sit in deposition hearing, and he didn’t deny it. A lot of women who are in situations like I was in, I wanted to make it better. I was praying every day. I was cooking. I was smiling. The outside appearance was as if nothing was happening. Even though you’re being abused, you still love that person, you’re just trying to love them through it. And you’re trying to pray them through it and you’re not realizing that you can’t change a person, they have to change themselves.

I never went to the hospital. I never reported anything. There were [visible injuries], but I’ll tell you the ones that have stuck with me the most is the mental abuse. I had so much pride in being a wife and being a mother and what that meant to me was big. So for me to be told I was lazy, and that I was stupid and that I wasn’t good enough and that nothing I could do was right, that was really, really hard for me…When someone is constantly ridiculing you, I’m always trying to live up to what that person thinks of me, it’s hard.

If you watched the show then you know that Porsha took her role as a wife very seriously.  You could tell that she took pride in being a good wife, and hopefully someday a good mother.

We were a married couple so of course we had sex, if that’s what you are asking, but it did change. But when you are in a relationship and someone is being controlling and they are using that as power; they will use money, they will use sex, they will use anything to make you feel as though you aren’t worthy of better. And for me in the marriage, I thought I had no self worth. It wasn’t until I got out of the marriage that I realized that I am very valuable, I bring a lot to the table, I’m smart, beautiful and I am a great wife and I’ll never accept that again. EVER.

I’m glad that she has realized her worth!  Again, this situation is NOT surprising to me.  Not at all. The more Kordell talked, the more you could tell that he is one of those men who felt entitled and who more than likely treated Porsha like property. I can’t really put my finger on it, but there was just something there that screamed “something ain’t right.” That, plus the way Porsha was overselling their marriage was a huge red flag that something was terribly wrong.

But you know what the crazy thing is?  Even after he kicked her out, she was still in that office with the lawyer trying to work it out.

Ladies, a man who puts his hands on you is not a display of love.  Ever. It’s not.  Know that.

Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion (Part 2 Review)

I appreciated this Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion.  Mainly because Cynthia FINALLY got a voice.

-I’m glad that she let Kenya know that she violated Porsha.

-I’m here for NeNe getting Kenya together, guys. The look on her face after Kenya said, “Don’t make me call Marlo” was of pure stank and disgust.

-NeNe is a robot. She has zero emotion. She cares about nobody (not any adult at least).  DEFINITELY not any of these women.

-Oh did y’all catch Andy check her real quick (“We do give a sh*t and you’re on a show so….”)? YASSSSS Andy! Don’t you forget from where your (consistent) checks come from, ma’am!

-NeNe keeps on saying she is an excellent friend. WHERE ARE THE RECEIPTS, MA’AM!!!!!

-I actually don’t know what to say about her.  She is ridiculous, delusional, and sooooo full of shyt.

-Kenya has WAY too much that can be thrown up in her face for her to be so messy, hateful, and just plain mean.  All of these women are talking to her like she is the scum of the earth and she can’t even come back with anything.  Ma’am, the skeletons in your closet probably outnumber ALL of these women’s TOGETHER.  You really should be the nicest person on this planet.

-“Well the moose has spoken, so.” <— The best thing she said all show.

-Look at her drinking the sweetest kool-aid out of Kenya’s ass.

-This scene where she says NOTHING when NeNe calls her HUSBAND a bitch STILL baffles me.

-“It’s to the point where people think I live up NeNe’s ass, basically.  That’s how good of a friend I’ve tried to be to her.” <— STOP IT TODAY!  That is NOT the look of a good friend! That is the look of a weak woman who REFUSES to stand up to someone even when they are DEAD WRONG!

-I’m with NeNe on this situation with Cynthia.  If you’ve squashed it, you don’t get to come back and get all mad again cause now people are seeing that you are ridiculously weak and won’t even stand up to NeNe for your HUSBAND.  No. You moved on and accepted that WEAK apology from NeNe, ma’am.  Should’ve dealt with it properly then.

-But I also agree with Cynthia.  NeNe can tell Cynthia that she’s wrong, but when the tables turn it’s a problem. <— Which is why Cynthia should’ve chunked the deuce at this friendship a looooong time ago.

-Ugh. Now I feel bad for her (these tears). I really do believe that she considered NeNe to be a friend, but she’s just GOT to get a backbone man.

-“I don’t want her to *feel* for me, I want her to RESPECT me.” – That sentence, complete with the look on her face when she said it, is the Cynthia that I need to see.  That right there.

-“I miss NeNe, but I’ll be okay.” <— Yes, Cynthia.  Yes.

-“All my life I had to fight” <– LOL

-Kandi and all of this crying when she talks to/about her mom. *rolls eyes* Talking about her hurt feelings.  Girl your mom is a TRIFLIN broad who will continue to wreak havoc on your grown life….CAUSE YOU LET HER.

-Even now she is shading Kandi and her(now) husband. I can’t do this.  There is no way. No.

Mama Joyce

-I could tell, from the FIRST word out of her evil little troll mouth, that this here woman is not well.  At least bought a new shiny wig for the reunion.

-Wait. Mama Joyce has a Twitter? O_o

-Y’all.  She is an embarrassment.  If that was my mom I would’ve told Andy to excuse us cause we need to go have a talk in the back.

-“Do you work now?”  “Oh no, I don’t have to.” <– Y’all.  Seriously.  I actually don’t know what to say.  Is she trying to show out cause she’s on the show?  What is this?  You’re BRAGGING because your child takes care of you? I mean, I would take care of my mom too but there WOULD need to be some humility in there somewhere. I mean wow.

-The slit on her dress showing her thigh meat is offending me.

-Somebody tell this broad that “going through” a lot for your kids DOES. NOT. GIVE. YOU THE RIGHT to act like a complete ass.  Ugh.  I want Andy to escort her out right now cause Kandi sure can’t do anything with her.

-Isn’t this woman like 83? Sitting up here trying to get hand claps and cosigns from the peanut gallery?  I can’t with her.

-“If he strayed, it wasn’t with you, bound woman.”  <– LISTEN!

-She didn’t contribute to this hour but these looks and giggles she gave almost killed me.

HOLD UP!  It looks like next week’s show is about to be FIYA!!! YASSSS!!!!

So Kid Fury Just Made Me Cry

Kid Fury. Look.  Stop what you are doing and I mean RIGHT DAMN NOW. Stop it.

And watch this.

Disclaimer: 1) It’s really for those of you watch RHOA  and 2) Language.

Fury….yes. Just…..YASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

And I agree.  If I’m Porsha I am not apologizing for a DAYUM thing.  NOPE.  Not I.

Apollo Nida’s (RHOA) Co-conspirator Got 5 Years In Prison

WHEW!  Things aren’t looking up for Apollo.

In U.S. District Court Wednesday, Nida’s co-conspirator Gayla St. Julien pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, resulting in a 61-month prison sentence.

St. Julien worked with Nida from 2009 until 2013. The federal government filed a complaint charging him of the same two charges as St. Julien.

During her time working with Nida, she opened several fake bank accounts to launder money obtained fraudulently, the complaint alleged. A sampling of accounts listed in the complaint totaled about $3 million.

St. Julien, “described herself as NIDA’s ‘right hand b****’ in executing the legwork of his fraud schemes,” wrote Alexandre Herrera, a  U.S. Secret Service Agent in the Counterfeit and U.S. Treasury Check Squad. She told Herrara she received “scraps” compared to how much Nida pocketed.

Nida is still in talks with the feds for a plea deal.

According to the updated complaint filed this past Monday, Nida created two fake collection agencies to gain access to databases “in order to obtain unlimited access to the personal identifiers of others.”

Apollo Nida is definitely going to jail, y’all.  Definitely.  It is CLEAR that she is going to give up ALL of the information on him.  His attempts to work out a plea deal are probably futile now that she has been convicted.

Some more of Apollo’s actions include:

– rented dozens of mailboxes at UPS stores and other places under various aliases, including the names of identity theft victims.

– created counterfeit drivers’ licenses and other ID, applied for and received unclaimed funds from state governments impersonating the true owners.

– applied and received refunds due former homeowners from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

– purchased checks, including U.S. Treasury checks, from others knowing they were stolen and fraudulently obtained.

– created fake auto dealerships to obtain auto loan approvals using stolen identities.

– opened personal and business accounts at financial institutions using stolen identities to launder stolen and fraudulently obtained proceeds.

St. Julien was arrested Sept. 11, 2013 and she told investigators about the schemes. She set up a meeting with Nida Sept. 13 where the U.S. Secret Service confiscated Nida’s cell phone and computer, providing plenty of details about his actions.

Pack your bags you stupid, stupid man.  Pack em.

But guys, I have a question.  Because either I didn’t know this or I knew it but hadn’t put two and two together…

Nida was previously imprisoned from 2004 to 2009 for breaking federal racketeering laws related to auto title fraud. He married Parks, an attorney, in 2009 and they have since had two children.

Now… if he was in prison for 5 years, and the year he got out Phaedra was already pregnant PRIOR TO getting married to him…when did they date?  Was she dating him while she was in prison?  Had they been dating since 2008 (or before)?  I’m sure we know the answer to this, right?

But yeah.  He’s definitely going back to the clink.

Kenya Moore Releases Statement About RHOA Fight

Kenya Moore says:

During the taping of the Reunion Episode for the Real Housewives of Atlanta, I was violently attacked by Porsha Williams. The episode, which aired tonight, Sunday, April 20, 2014, was taped in front of an audience of over 50 people, which included cast, crew, guests and executives, who served as witnesses. I called 911 to report the incident. The Atlanta police conducted an independent investigation, which included viewing the raw footage of the incident.  As a result, Porsha Williams was charged with battery. The authorities will decide her fate, not me.

There are many inflammatory statements made by cast members to and about each other particularly during the reunion tapings. Many have made untrue, denigrating, disparaging, and inflammatory statements against me in an attempt to provoke me, but I have never reacted in a violent way.  My intellect and my brain are my most powerful weapons—not my fists. If people get so angry that they lose control and admittedly “black out” and resort to violence, those persons must be held responsible for their actions. Being a cast member on a reality show does not absolve people of their rights.

After being repeatedly attacked by an abusive boyfriend at the age of 17, if someone puts their hands on me, I will not just let it go.  With that said, I sought self-defense training developed for the Israeli military. I’ve also been trained in weapons. I can take someone down in three moves. It took discipline for me not to respond in kind.  As violent responses escalate, they can quickly result in severe injury or even death.

Being the second Black woman to be crowned Miss USA, there are little girls who look up to me. I would never want those girls, my nieces, or my future children to see me fighting anyone. That’s the lesson we should all want to send, especially to young people—that no matter how angry someone makes you feel by what they say to or about you, violence is never an option. #stoptheviolence

{via Necole Bitchie}

Is this bish SERIOUS right now?

You’ve been trained in Israeli military self defense, but when someone is LITERALLY dragging you across the floor you “choose” to not use said training?

There are little girls who look up to you?  Ma’am, you have talked down, made fun of, degraded EVERY woman on that show.  EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.  You have acted like a child and NOW you want to talk about setting an example? NOW?

And I am SOOO weak at this whole “stop the violence” thing she’s trying to start here.

I also read that she is “considering” quitting the show due to this. Bish bye! BYE!

But we ALLLLL know that she is nothing but an attention whore so she will NOT be quitting.  I mean, what else is she going to do?
