To be perfectly honest, I forgot this was even happening! But. Here we go! The trailer for the remake of “Annie”:
My opinion:
I…..am not sure if this can really be called a “remake.” Honestly, it looks…cute. A nice cute holiday movie around Christmastime that my then boo thang can take me to see because SURELY by then Jesus would’ve dropped him out of the air for me to enjoy by then, right? RIGHT? I mean, that’s a whole 9 months from now! PLENTY of time for the Lord to do His work! COME THROUGH, JESUS!
Oh…wait…
*clears throat*
Yes, this is cute, but “Annie” is a CLASSIC. Yes, it was playful and everything, but I just don’t get the “classic” feeling from this remake. Plus, I expect Annie to be able to BLOW. And….
However, I’m taking it MUCH better than some of these guys…
New trailer for ‘Annie’ shows they should have gone with a straight remake. http://t.co/aD9PwDTyD9

@playbill I could only stomach the first 40 sec. Then I had to hurl. This is beyond bad and will flop. Sorry Annie, there will be no tomorrow.

The trailer for the Annie remake looks awful. Why can’t Hollywood just make original new movies instead of remaking classic movies.

@queen_elisheba no.. I just don’t think she makes a good Annie. The whole movie looks repulsive. Nothing against race just my opinion.

I’m pretty sure nothing about the new #Annie trailer looks good

Anyone upset that Quvenzhané got cast as a black Annie needs to remember… It could have been Willow Smith. (or Jaden)
— Ol’ QWERTY Bastard (@TheDiLLon1) March 6, 2014
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
Stop trying to make black Annie happen! It’s not going to happen!
— Stewart Fullerton (@Stewartful) March 6, 2014
Oh.
you aren’t allowed to say that the new Annie looks horrible or you’re racist
— Emmanuel Delfin (@Emmanuel_Delfin) March 6, 2014
Guys, lets not do this.
They can keep the new Annie movie…stop ruining my childhood classics.

Why is the new Annie black? Like not racist but wasn’t she supposed to be a ginger
— Jessica Devendorf (@JNikkoel95) March 6, 2014
I’d sooner slit my wrists than watch the new Annie. Let’s combine my two biggest hates: Annie and Jay Z’s music.
— James (@Jamessss1993) March 6, 2014
So is the new Annie gon have that bright red weave!?

RT @Just_StewMe: The girl who’s going to play the new Annie is black, I’m not being racist but why? pic.twitter.com/WPqr9dBN5L

Again, in MY opinion, this isn’t really a “remake.” It’s more like an adaption or something. Let’s be honest, Annie IS known for her bright red hair. It’s true. And again, if people don’t like how this movie looks from the trailer, it doesn’t automatically mean they are racist.
I don’t know…it all seems kind of “Willy-Wonka”ish to me.
Are you guys feeling it?
