Ya know….
I’ve never been a Tyler Perry hater. I know people who are and who think his movies are “holding us back” (really!?) or something like that. My thing is this. There aren’t a lot of movies out that appeal to people like my mom and aunties, etc. They don’t like a lot of cussing, violence, horror, or stuff like that. They enjoy his kind of movies and appreciate the message of them. And, at times, I think they are cute. So I’m cool with it.
But when I saw this (the picture above is how I found out about the movie). “The Single Mom’s Club?” I mean, come on.
I went and searched for the trailer. And found it.
So then a strange thing happened. By the end of the trailer I was laughing! OUT LOUD! So now I think this is going to be cute. Will it be corny? Probably (I appreciate corny at times). Will it be an earth shattering, box office record setting film? Nope. But will it be worth taking your mommies and aunties to? Or having some wine (or whatever) with your girls and having a girls’ night out? Or going with the ladies who you’re kinda cool with from your church? Yup! I can see this movie being good for all of that.
